Lymphocytes

Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell that play a critical role in the immune system by defending the body against foreign invaders such as viruses, bacteria, and other microbes. These cells have the unique ability to recognize and remember specific invaders, making them essential for proper immune system functioning. Lymphocytes are also capable of producing antibodies which help to protect the body from the development of disease. They are an essential component of the body’s ability to fight off infection and disease.
