Gastroenteritis
Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and intestines caused by a viral, bacterial, or parasitic infection. It results in severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting. It is commonly referred to as a "stomach bug". Symptoms typically last for a few days and can often be resolved without medical treatment. However, in some cases, dehydration can occur and medical attention may be required. The best way to prevent gastroenteritis is to observe good hygiene practice and to avoid contact with those who are infected. Gastroenteritis is a common and potentially serious illness that can affect people of any age, and it is important to be aware of the signs and symptoms in order to seek medical advice when needed.

Our immune system protects us and helps fight off disease. Microorganisms, small microscopic organisms, and viruses are everywhere.
