Chickenpox

Chickenpox is a very contagious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus that is most common in children. It is characterized by a blister-like rash, which can be accompanied by other symptoms such as fever and body aches. The rash usually lasts for about two to three weeks, and people who become ill typically recover completely without any long-term consequences. However, chickenpox can sometimes lead to more serious complications in immunocompromised individuals, such as pneumonia, encephalitis, and even death. Vaccination against chickenpox is highly recommended to prevent infection and the associated risks.
