Vaccine An allergy vaccine is a therapeutic injection designed to reduce the body’s allergic reactions to an allergen. This type of immunotherapy is used to reduce or stop the symptoms of various allergic diseases such as hay fever, asthma, eczema, and allergic rhinitis. Allergy vaccines are especially beneficial for those who have an ongoing, severe allergy or need to avoid long-term medications. It has been found to be safe and effective for adults and children over two years of age. By helping to reduce or eliminate allergic reactions, allergy vaccines can improve the quality of life for those living with allergies.
