Intestinal Worms
Intestinal worms, also known as helminths, are parasites living inside the intestines of humans and other animals. They can enter the body if the person is exposed to contaminated food, water, or soil, or through contact with an infected animal. They can cause severe health problems, such as malnutrition, abdominal pain, bloating, and diarrhoea. Diagnosing and treating infections caused by intestinal worms is important for maintaining good health and preventing further spread of the infection. Treatment usually involves medications that kill the worms, as well as improved sanitation, hygiene, and dietary practices.
