Transgene

A transgene is a gene that has been artificially introduced into an organism's genome. Transgenes can be used for various purposes, such as altering traits or producing a desirable protein. Transgenes have been widely used in medical, agricultural, and industrial applications to improve the characteristics of organisms. Transgenic animals have been developed to better understand diseases, and transgenic plants are used to create new varieties with higher yields and resistance to disease. Transgenic research has also been used to develop new drugs, vaccines, and therapies to treat a range of conditions and diseases. As transgenic technology continues to improve, it may become a powerful tool to address some of humanity's most pressing challenges and to benefit society as a whole.
