Genetic Determinism
Genetic determinism is a concept that proposes that all of the characteristics of an organism are determined solely by its genetic makeup. It suggests that an individual’s genetic code is the sole factor that determines their physical, mental, and behavioural traits. This concept can be applied to any organism, from bacteria to humans, and it is used to understand how different genes affect the development of an organism. Genetic determinism can be used in genetic engineering, diagnosing and treating genetic diseases, and predicting the outcome of various genetic modifications. By understanding the role that genetics plays in different aspects of an organism’s development, scientists can work towards improving the health and well-being of people and other organisms.
