Extinct Genomes
Extinct Genomes are ancient DNA sequences derived from specimens of extinct species. Their analysis provides insights into the evolutionary history of species and the emergence of new species. They are also used to infer the past genetic diversity of species and to identify the processes that lead to speciation. Extinct Genomes are important tools for conservation of endangered species and for understanding conservation efforts, as well as in the study of human evolution and migration. Extinct Genomes can also provide clues to the evolutionary processes that led to the emergence of new species and to a better understanding of the diversity of life on Earth.
