Topical Antifungal Medications

Topical antifungal medications are used to treat fungal infections of the skin, nails and mucous membranes. The medications work by eliminating the fungus and preventing its growth. They are available in a variety of forms including creams, shampoos, sprays, gels, and ointments, and are used to treat a variety of fungal conditions, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and yeast infections. The medications can be used both as a preventive measure against fungal infections, as well as to treat an existing infection. Topical antifungal medications are an effective treatment for fungal infections and have minimal side effects.
