Fungal Keratitis is an infection of the cornea caused by fungus. It can lead to serious and permanent vision loss if not treated promptly. The symptoms may include redness, pain, light sensitivity and blurred vision. Treatment includes medications, anti-fungal eye drops, ointments, and sometimes, surgery. Early diagnosis and timely treatment are important to prevent permanent damage. Fungal Keratitis is most common in humid environments and individuals who have a weakened immune system.
