Fungal Enzymes and Applications
Fungal enzymes are proteins produced by certain species of fungi that are essential to various biological processes. They are widely used in industries such as food, feed, fuel, and textile production. Fungal enzymes have a broad range of applications, including the production of food ingredients and additives, detergents, biofuels, and industrial enzymes. Additionally, they are used in bioremediation processes and research on plant biochemical pathways. Fungal enzymes are well-studied and widely used because of their stability, substrate specificity, and ability to remain active over a wide range of temperatures, pH values, and high salt concentrations. Furthermore, their low cost and the fact that they can be produced in large amounts make them an attractive addition to many industrial processes.
