Soybean
Soybean (Glycine max) is an important legume crop which is widely cultivated across the world for its nutritious beans, which are high in protein and used in a variety of food products. It is also an important source of oil and is used in the production of biodiesel as well as other industrial products. Additionally, the soybean plant is used for soil improvement and for green manure, making it a useful component of sustainable agricultural systems. The environmental significance of soybean is further increased by its ability to fix nitrogen from the atmosphere, making it an important component of a sustainable food system.
