Pantothenic Acid
Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin B5, is an essential nutrient for all living organisms and has a wide range of functions in humans. It is important for the metabolism of food, energy production, and the synthesis of hormones and certain neurotransmitters. Pantothenic acid is found in a wide variety of foods such as meats, eggs, dairy products, legumes, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Deficiency of pantothenic acid can lead to fatigue, nausea, muscle cramps, tingling sensations in the hands, and insomnia. It is also used as a dietary supplement and as an ingredient in many multivitamin and mineral preparations.
