Olives

Olives are the fruits of the olive tree, a species from the Mediterranean basin. They are an important source of nutrition, providing healthy fats, and are an essential part of the Mediterranean diet. Olives are both eaten fresh and processed into oil, which is a major part of many cuisines. Olive oil is an important part of many cosmetic and skin care products due to its moisturizing, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Olives are also used for medicinal purposes, such as for treating constipation and improving symptoms of arthritis.
