Gelatin Embedding
Gelatin embedding is a method used in histology and microscopy to preserve cells and tissues in a three-dimensional structure. The technique involves suspending a sample in a solution of gelatin, which solidifies to form a block. Once the block is formed, it can be cut into ultra-thin sections for examination under a microscope. The advantage of this technique is that it maintains the shape and orientation of the cells in the sample and allows for higher-resolution imaging than other histology methods. Gelatin embedding is used to study tissue morphology for various applications in medical and veterinary diagnostics, research, and forensic investigation.
