Apples
Apples are a type of fruit that grow on deciduous trees belonging to the genus Malus in the rose family (Rosaceae). Apples are arguably one of the most popular and widely available fruits in the world. They are an excellent source of dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Apples have been used in medicine for centuries and are believed to have numerous health benefits, including improving cardiovascular health, regulating blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of cancer and promoting weight loss. Additionally, apples contain several compounds that may help protect against oxidative stress and reduce inflammation. As such, they are believed to play a role in reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s.
