Uterus
The uterus is a muscular organ located in the female reproductive system. It is shaped like an upside-down pear and is sometimes called the "womb". The uterus is responsible for sustaining the fetus during pregnancy and providing it with nourishment and oxygen, as well as aiding in its delivery during childbirth. The uterus plays an important role in preventing and treating conditions such as infertility, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease. It also supports hormone balance in women and helps control menstrual cycles. Therefore, the uterus is fundamental for women’s health and reproductive functions.
