Neonatal Physiology
Neonatal Physiology is the study of the function and adaptation of newborns to their environment. It is an integral part of both medical and nursing practice. It is important for understanding healthy development and providing the best care for newborns, infants and young children. Neonatal physiology is essential for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of premature, low birth weight and other common newborn conditions, including jaundice, neonatal respiratory distress syndrome and sepsis. It also plays an important role in the development of evidence-based practices and the delivery of quality health care to newborns, infants and young children.
