Fetoscopy
Fetoscopy is a type of imaging technique used to view the developing fetus in the uterus. This procedure is performed by a specialist doctor and typically involves the insertion of a thin fiber-optic camera called a fetoscope into the uterus. Fetoscopy allows doctors to diagnose and treat fetal conditions and deformities, as well as monitor the baby's development, health and growth in utero. It is also used to take samples of the amniotic fluid, umbilical cord blood, and placental tissue for further testing. Fetoscopy is a valuable diagnostic tool that can provide valuable information to help ensure a successful and healthy pregnancy.
