Sperm

atozoa Spermatozoa are the male reproductive cells produced by all organisms that reproduce sexually. They are produced in the testes and are made up of a head, midpiece and tail. The spermatozoa’s main purpose is to fertilize an egg, but they also serve to bring genetic diversity to the offspring. They are also responsible for carrying a male’s genome to the female’s egg through a process called sperm competition. Spermatozoa play a very important role in the reproduction process, and their health can have an impact on fertility and reproductive success.
