Embryology
Embryology is the study of the development of an embryo from the moment of fertilization until birth. It is key to understanding the early stages of development when cells become highly specialized and organized into different organs. Embryology is relevant to a range of fields, from understanding congenital birth defects to providing insight into fertility treatments and stem cell research. Embryology has tremendous implications for medicine, biology, zoology, reproductive medicine and biotechnology. The study of embryology can help provide improved treatments for infertility, birth defects and genetic disorders.
