Eating Disorders
Eating disorders are a group of serious conditions in which a person has an unhealthy relationship with food. This can involve extreme overeating or not eating enough, obsessed thoughts about food and weight, or excessive preoccupation with controlling body size and shape. These disorders can have a serious impact on physical and mental health. Treatment options include therapy, medications, or a combination of both. Eating disorders are treatable, but they can take time and require a lifelong commitment to managing symptoms. Recognizing the signs early and getting help is important in order to prevent long-term health risks and improve quality of life.
