Regenerative Agriculture
Regenerative agriculture is an approach to farming and food production that emphasizes reducing tillage and improving soil health, restoring biodiversity, and increasing the resiliency of both the land and the farmers who farm it. It is based on the principles of regenerative design and combines traditional farming methods with ecological principles to increase the quality of the land. This approach emphasizes building soil organic matter over time, sequestering carbon to improve the fertility of the soil, and fostering biodiversity to promote self-sustaining ecosystems. The benefits of regenerative agriculture extend beyond its environmental impact and include increased yields, decreased reliance on chemical inputs, improved economic opportunities, and improved human and animal health. The long-term sustainability of regenerative agriculture means that it is a viable option for small and large scale farms alike.
