Horticulture

Horticulture is the science and art of cultivating gardens, fruits, vegetables and flowers. It includes the cultivation, handling and maintenance of plants, as well as the study of their growth and development. Horticulture plays an important role in providing food, improving the environment, and preserving biodiversity. Horticulture is also used to create landscapes that are aesthetically pleasing and low-maintenance, while providing a wide variety of species suitable for specific environment and soil types. It can also be used to create gardens that are attractive, easy to maintain and provide habitats for wildlife. Additionally, horticulture is used to improve the quality of life through the production of nutritious fruits and vegetables, as well as the promotion of mental health, recreation, and well-being.
