Food Security
Food security is the ability of people to access safe, nutritious, and affordable food for an active and healthy life. It is a fundamental right and essential for human health, development, and well-being. Food security not only means having access to enough food but also to food that is safe, nutritionally adequate, culturally acceptable, and affordable. Poor food security can lead to malnutrition, disease, and even death. Governments, communities, and individuals can work together to ensure everyone has access to safe and adequate food, as well as the resources to acquire it. This helps to reduce hunger and improve the overall health and well-being of a population.
