Agroforestry

Agroforestry is an agricultural land management system which combines trees and crops to produce multiple benefits. Agroforestry provides ecological, economic, and social benefits to the environment, such as increased biodiversity, improved soil fertility, increased carbon sequestration, and increased resilience to extreme weather. In more developed countries, agroforestry can provide benefits like timber, firewood, honey production, fodder, food, and medicinal products. Agroforestry is an important tool for land management that can reduce erosion, improve soil fertility, and maximize land use. It is also a crucial practice for climate mitigation, as trees sequester carbon from the atmosphere and help to maintain a balanced global climate. By promoting agroforestry, we can support sustainable farming and combat the effects of climate change.
