Agricultural Policy
Agricultural policy is a set of laws, regulations and policies that govern the production, distribution and consumption of agricultural goods. It is designed to promote economic growth, reduce rural poverty, maintain the health and safety of the food supply, protect the environment, and ensure food security. Agricultural policies ensure that farmers have the resources and support they need to produce sufficient and safe food for their communities. Agricultural policies also help to ensure fair and equitable access to markets, and promote the development of new and more efficient agricultural practices. One way agricultural policy has improved food security is by increasing the availability of food on the world market, reducing poverty in rural areas, and providing support for small farmers and agricultural workers.
