Pharmacodynamics

Pharmacodynamics is the study of how drugs work in the body to produce their effects and how these effects are modified by differences in individual physiology. It is an important branch of pharmacology that investigates the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs on the body. Pharmacodynamic endpoints are typically used to measure and evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of drug treatments. Pharmacodynamic research is used to inform the development of novel therapeutic agents, improve the safety and effectiveness of existing drug therapies, and increase the understanding of diseases.
