Occupational Toxicology

Occupational toxicology is the study of the toxic effects of workplace-related exposures on human health. It is a growing area of research that focuses on the potential health risks posed by occupational exposures to hazardous substances and materials in the workplace. Occupational toxicology seeks to identify and quantify the potential risks, assess the effectiveness of workplace safety measures, and develop guidelines to protect workers from exposure to hazardous substances. This knowledge can help to safeguard workers against long-term illnesses, disabilities, and premature death caused by occupational exposure to toxic materials. In addition, it can lead to cost savings by reducing the number of workplace-related healthcare expenses.
