Microbial Toxins

Microbial toxins are substances produced by microorganisms, that are toxic to other organisms, including humans. Microbial toxins are significant as they can be used as weapons for biological warfare and bioterrorism. They can also be used to disinfect water, treat cancer, and as pesticides for crop protection. Microbial toxins are also important in food production, as they can be used to preserve food or to add flavor or color. Additionally, they are used in research to study the effects and structure of living cells.
