Earth Science

Earth science is the scientific study of the Earth, encompassing a broad range of topics including its physical structure, atmosphere, oceans, and soils. Its research is focused on understanding the Earth’s physical processes and its environment, including the climate and the biosphere. It is a vital field, as it provides insight into natural hazards, provides a basis for resource management, and even helps us to understand the impacts of human activities on the environment. Earth science also has many practical applications, from aerospace engineering to geological engineering and from meteorology to hydrology, helping us to better understand our planet and to develop solutions to its challenges.
