Carcinogens
Carcinogens are substances or agents that can cause cancer in humans or animals. They are present in the environment and can be found in the air, soil, food, water, and even our homes. Long-term exposure to carcinogens increases a person’s risk of developing certain types of cancer. In order to reduce this risk, we need to be aware of the various ways carcinogens enter our bodies and how they can be avoided. By understanding the source of carcinogens and how they interact with our bodies, we can help to protect ourselves from the potential risk of cancer.
