Stem Cell Proliferation
Stem cell proliferation is the process by which stem cells multiply, divide and increase in number. This process is critical for the maintenance of tissue health, as it allows tissue to repair itself and renew itself. Stem cell proliferation also plays an important role in regenerative medicine, allowing cells to be used for therapeutic purposes, for example for the treatment of certain diseases, such as cancer and neurological disorders. Stem cell proliferation can also be used to improve the outcome of organ transplantation and to create new cell-based therapies. Furthermore, stem cell proliferation has significant implications in the study of development and disease.
