Vehicle Emissions

Vehicle Emissions are pollutants released into the environment as a result of fuel combustion in motor vehicles. These pollutants have serious adverse impacts on human health and the environment, including increased carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter (PM) in the air, leading in turn to air pollution, climate change, acid rain and many other health problems. Vehicle emissions control technologies such as catalytic converters, emission abatement systems, and improved fuel efficiency systems can help reduce these emissions and the associated impacts. Furthermore, the use of alternative fuels, shift from petrol/diesel to electric vehicles, carpooling, and public transportation can all contribute to lower emissions.
