Psychotraumatology
Psychotraumatology is a field of research and practice that focuses on the psychological effects of trauma. It seeks to understand how trauma can cause physical and psychological changes, and how these changes can be addressed through interventions and treatments. Psychotraumatology attempts to understand and reduce the long-term psychological and physiological effects of trauma, with the ultimate goal of improving emotional and psychological well-being. This can help people who have experienced real and/or potential traumas regain a sense of emotional and physical balance, leading to better physical and mental health, improved functioning in relationships, and greater satisfaction with life.
