Paleolithic Period

The Paleolithic Period, also known as the Stone Age, is a period of human prehistory that began about 2.5 million years ago and ended about 12,000 years ago. This period is significant because it marks the beginning of human development and saw the emergence of Homo sapiens as the most dominant and evolved species of the era. During this period, humans developed and used basic stone tools and weapons as well as rudimentary forms of hunting and gathering. During the Paleolithic Period, humans began to spread out across the globe, learn more complex skills and techniques, and start to use language. Additionally, the period saw the development of art, music, and other forms of creative expression. By the end of the period, humans had developed the ability to domesticate wild animals, cultivate crops, and create permanent settlements. The Paleolithic Period has made significant contributions to our current understanding of human origins, evolution, and behavior.
