Paleobiology
Paleobiology is the scientific study of fossils and other ancient life forms. It is a branch of biology that is concerned with the history of life on Earth, which includes the evolution of life and ecology of ancient organisms. Paleobiologists use fossil and other evidence to understand the principles and processes of evolution. Paleobiology research is used to inform our understanding of the history of Earth and its living inhabitants, as well as to identify new sources of energy and key elements for emerging technologies. It is also used to analyze current biodiversity and climate change.
