Paleoanthropology
Paleoanthropology is a scientific field of study which investigates the evolutionary history of humans and human ancestors. By looking at the fossil evidence of our ancestors, scientists in this field are able to investigate the evolution of our species and how the process of natural selection has shaped us in the past and present. Through careful analysis and interpretation of the fossil record, paleoanthropology gives us a detailed understanding of our species’ history and provides insight into how we may have adapted to different environmental situations. The knowledge gathered from this field has important implications for our current and future generations, helping us to make decisions about our health and lifestyle that best suit our environment.
