The Neolithic Period was characterized by the use of stone tools, the domestication of animals, and the adoption of agriculture. This period marked the start of sedentary lifestyles that enabled an unprecedented level of population growth. It also saw the emergence of early forms of societal organization and the development of religious beliefs and practices. The Neolithic Period was a major turning point in human history as it led to the development of civilization and the growth of culture, technology, and commerce.
