Historical Geography

Historical Geography is the study of how people, places, and environments have changed over time. It looks at the development of human-environment interactions, and how the physical and cultural landscape of a place evolves over generations. It is an important scientific tool for understanding the past and for managing future change in the environment. Historical Geography is used to inform land use planning, conservation, and urban design, as well as helping to assess cultural heritage and natural disasters. It is also a valuable tool for educators, historians, and archaeologists.
