Evolutionary Computation

Evolutionary computation is a branch of artificial intelligence that uses algorithms and techniques inspired by natural selection in order to efficiently solve problems. It is an effective and efficient way to handle complex optimization problems, such as finding the optimal solution to a problem when there is no clear way to find the solution in a reasonable time otherwise. Evolutionary computation is used in many fields, from robotics and computer vision, to financial trading and scheduling systems. Its use is increasing as it is able to provide solutions to many problems of growing complexity.
