Entomopathogenic Fungus

Entomopathogenic fungi are fungi that are pathogenic, or capable of causing disease, to insects. These fungi are known to parasitize, or feed on, a wide range of insect species, including many agricultural pests. The use of entomopathogenic fungi in pest control has become increasingly popular around the world due to their target specificity, safety, and ecological sustainability. When used properly, entomopathogenic fungi provide an effective means of controlling insect pests in a wide variety of agricultural and residential settings, reducing the need for the use of expensive, potentially hazardous chemical insecticides.
