Ecological Risk
Assessment Ecological risk assessment is the process of evaluating the likelihood of adverse effects of human activities on ecosystems. It typically involves gathering information on environmental resources, characterizing the potential environmental risk of a particular activity, and evaluating the effectiveness of possible mitigation measures. Ecological risk assessment is an important tool for decision-making as it helps identify and prioritize sources of environmental risk and inform the development of management strategies to reduce the likelihood of harm. It is used in a wide range of environmental management, regulatory, and legal contexts, and can be tailored to address the specific needs of stakeholders.
