Oral and Dental Disease Diagnosis
Oral and dental diseases such as tooth decay and gum disease can cause severe pain and impair the quality of life, yet many of these diseases can be treated if diagnosed early. Oral and dental disease diagnosis involves examining the mouth and teeth to identify and assess any potential issues. Diagnosis typically begins with a visual and tactile examination of the mouth and teeth to identify any abnormalities, such as signs of decay, lesions, or inflammation. Additional diagnostic methods such as X-rays can be used to reveal more hidden evidence of disease. Early diagnosis of oral and dental diseases greatly increases the likelihood of successful treatment and helps to reduce suffering and disability.
