Zymogens

Zymogens are small proteins that help control the activation of enzymes in the body. They are an important and essential part of the body's natural biochemical processes, as they help to control when and how enzymes become active. Zymogens play an important role in digestion, metabolism, tissue repair, and clotting, among other bodily processes. Zymogens are also important in drug development, biosynthesis, and medical imaging. By better understanding the function of zymogens, scientists can design better drugs, create improved treatments, and develop new imaging methods.
