Prostaglandin
Prostaglandin is a type of hormone-like compound which plays an important role in our bodies. It is involved in the regulation of many bodily functions including inflammation, pain, fertility and many more. Prostaglandin is mainly produced by our cells from fatty acids and is released into the bloodstream to act on its target cells. Its effects can be either short-term or long-term, depending on its type. The therapeutic use of Prostaglandin is widespread and it has potential in the treatment of diseases such as cancer, psoriasis, asthma and arthritis.
