Nucleation
Nucleation is a critical first step in the formation of a new phase or structure. It is the process by which a small amount of material, usually a crystal or some other molecular form, starts a reaction which then leads to the formation of a larger, more ordered structure or phase. Nucleation can occur both naturally and artificially, and it is relevant in a broad range of fields, including engineering, material sciences, biochemistry, astrophysics, and geology. It is also important in many practical applications such as metal alloys, plastics, and drug delivery systems. Nucleation plays a major role in the production of various products and technologies and holds great promise for the advancement of science and technology.
