Productivity Ecology
Productivity ecology is a scientific field concerned with the study of how resources, such as water and nutrients, are used in ecosystems to promote the production of life and its sustainability. It examines the way in which organisms and environmental factors interact to determine productivity, as well as the impact of human activities on productivity of ecosystems. It also looks at the effect of climate change, pollution, and other forms of environmental degradation on productivity. Productivity ecology provides useful information for managing and protecting ecosystems and can be used to inform decisions about land use, management of natural resources, and the conservation of biodiversity.
