Pilot Plant Experiments
Pilot plant experiments are conducted in small scale systems that simulate full-scale industrial plants in order to evaluate the performance of process and unit operations. These experiments are valuable for testing new process designs and troubleshooting existing processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage industries. The results of the pilot plant experiments are then used to determine cost savings and other benefits of large-scale implementation of a process, including improved efficiency and product quality. The advantages of pilot plant experiments include speed and cost savings compared to full-scale implementation, as well as the ability to test and optimize a range of variables.
