Methane Recovery

Methane recovery is a process used to capture and use methane, a naturally occurring gas, as an energy source. Methane is an abundant and combustible gas that is found in the atmosphere, and is produced by the anaerobic oxidation or decomposition of organic matter. Methane is an important component of natural gas used in heating, cooking, electricity generation and transportation. Methane recovery involves capturing and transferring methane from its sources and using it as a fuel. This reduces greenhouse gas emissions and captures an otherwise untapped energy resource. Methane recovery has become an increasingly important technology for reducing greenhouse gases and improving energy efficiency. It provides a clean, cost-effective way of using a renewable energy source that can help reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
